Thanks...here is the flyer for Charlie's benefit coming up in April. We go on at 6...thanks to Jim Shortt for taking 2 wonderful pictures of Charlie which I used to make this one. The main picture had a tall glass of water on the keyboard next to a set list, and it hid his left hand and much of the keyboard. I removed all that stuff and put his left hand in from another picture Jim took. I also took out the background (band guys from the waist down...no need to show that) and gave a glow to it. There'll never be another Charlie Greenway. I'm just proud to be on Jim's team for the benefits. He credits me every time, and up until recently, he featured me as a performer...this time I'm going in as the guitar player for Pee Wee's band and that's fine with me. We're playing Saturday evening in Galveston at the Terrace Room in the Galvez Hotel. Life is good. WC1

Here's the Galvez Hotel website. All the dreams of my youth, to play music at these historic places are now being fulfilled, thanks to Pee Wee:

Last night Jim Shortt showed up at our gig at Club Classic on NASA Rd 1, on the water...it's a brand-new club, the place was just finished. Upstairs gig...WAY upstairs...not the easiest load-in, but I've seen worse...we had the place packed, but had some issues with sound in there...the stage is almost 3 feet up off the floor. You can reach up and touch the ceiling. That puts our sound right in everybody's face...we ended up turning way down and still couldn't find a decent level, but what the heck. It was a good gig. Jim's going to put this picture in his column in The Scene Magazine coming up. He loved it, and he said we sounded terrific. Life is good. Pee Wee Bowen is one amazing dude. He was talking to us, saying we're going to start with such-and-such, then we'll do this and that, and he turns around and falls off the stage...wham! He gets up and says, Anyway, like I was saying...we'll do this one and that one...Cheers, WC1
