Cadillac dragster/altered engine "found"!

I have an old Cadillac race engine that I traded for a decade ago.
I believe it may be based on a 1957 370 cu.in. V.

From my disassembly:
It has (6) 2b Stromberg carbs on a "log type" manifold, Shiefer aluminum flywheel, domed forged pistons, highly ported and polished heads,
roller camshaft w/ handmade lifters, Edelbrock valve covers,
Zoomies etc.

From the pipes it must have been mounted in an open engine compartment, Dragster or an Altered.

I'm interested in finding it's history.
Anyone remember seeing a Cadillac powered car back in the day?
Thanks for looking.

Glen in TN.

It's nice to hear something has been found, but sounds like now that you found it, you've just started looking...................good luck...................................Perry Jr.

Boy Glen, there were a lot of caddy, olds buick powered dragsters, not just dragsters, but fenderless coupes everything back in the day, lots of street cars, I.E. hotrods used to run competition style exhausts on the street too, LOL. Could you put some pics up of the engine, and info on where it was found? Someone may remember it from your area or wherever. That was a neat find, and in my opinion should be resurrected and put in something befitting it's history. A little slingshot dragster would be so cool with a caddy!! Thanks, Steve.

I'll try to take some pictures of the engine...it is disassembled though, so the pictures will be of "parts" and "pieces". I was told the engine was found in a barn near the middle Tn. Ky. border. The person who owned it thought it was a Chevy. The 6 carbs and the Zommies are both black, with the manifold. valve covers, and water inlets being polished and or chrome plated. What fascinated me was the extensive port work and especially the roller camshaft. The rotating assembly also has had some mods to it as well. My guess is this thing is early sixties race vintage.
