I just got a message from Standard 1320 from a neighbor of Ray's that he passed on Friday. What a shock for us all. I never met him in person. Yet I feel that he is an old friend, just like so many of you whom I've not met yet. I always looked forward to the day he would attend a FCR so we could meet. Sadly that is not to be. God be with you and rest in peace my friend.

i am ray's next door neighbor, bruce. I hope this mass email will reach all of ray's contacts. it is with great sadness that i must inform all of ray's dear friends, that ray has passed away as of 1/26/07. this of course was very unexpected, ray succumbed to a very aggressive form of cancer, at least his suffering was minimal. i am so sorry to bring you all this tragic news

Ray was a terrific online drag racing friend who took the time to scan hundreds if not thousands of drag racing magazine photos for his fellow drag racing fans to enjoy. Ray has approved draglist to use those photos in our lists, but of course, we were waiting to get approval from the original photographers. Ray brought daily joy and good memories to hundreds of fellow drag racing fans on the Internet. Farewell, Ray. bp
