...known for his red-line pace and post-patterns. We enjoyed many nights watching DJ on the hardwood. Wishing him pickup games in paradise....

WOW,..sad news definatley.
i use to go to the colisium in seattle and watch Dennis, and
downtown freddy brown play when i was a kid.

He was a great one for sure. He had an impenetrable personality, totally flat-lined, but he played with scary intensity and precision. He was a basketball machine; nobody else had his control. I saw him up-close and personal when the Celtics beat the Rockets in the NBA finals in 1986. He was mostly responsible for their victory although he didn't get the front-line press like Bird, McHale and Ainge were getting...RIP, Dennis, sorry we lost you so soon. WC1
