4/29/2007 Tomiko Robinson, the first lady of Street Racing in LA, has sadly passed away....... She was a good friend to us all, even if she just met you, she was your friend.... I'll never forget her smile.......it always warmed your heart.(Photoman-Eddy Meeks 2007)

That is a beautiful tribute. Thanks for posting it. I street raced. We all did. She helped make something positive for the community and was recognized for being an outstanding person. God bless Big Willie and may she rest in peace. WC1

Thank you for the post and the pics.
My condolences to Big and the whole LA scene as you have lost a true Good Will Ambassador for the sport.
I remember Willie and Tomiko from the early days in the 60s and they surely have accomplished a lot in their time.

RIP

Ron

Personally, I am still reeling from the loss of a lady was to grass roots racing what Elanore Roosevelt was to working people in the 20th Century. The Brotherhood, for those of you who may not understand, has always sought to find the most stable environment possible to race who you want when you want. Terminal Island was the epitome of neutural ground in South Bay-LA; all the inclusion I was raised to expect out of the sport thrived there---and still may yet revive itself nearby. With the demise of LACR, we need that attitude more than ever.

Brotherhood! Imagine: 35,000 members covering most of our nation...Canada...determined to have an alcohol-free, violence-free environment wherever it could be created...something my Mom was proud to see me follow...former Bikers looking to show and race together in England emailing me desperate to get ahold of Big Willie to get it right....and that spirit survives :D
Tomiko was joyous and treated even us out of staters like her big extended family---and we still are.

....a wonderful full-page tribute to the First Lady can be found in the new issue of Full Throttle News. Written by Stormy Byrd, it encapsulates LA's racing scene and how Tomiko influenced it so much..... 8)
