Here's another new thread to perk up the DB side of the house... what were the best concerts you ever attended? I'm not going to list them all (or TRY to) all in the first post, but I'll list a few. Let's start with the Blues for Becky concert in Houston. John Bockelman and Jerry Gilles set it up. I thought that John was a great guy and probably a pretty good garage musician... when he and his band took the stage for their first number, I was blown away! Holy crap! These guys are the real thing! What a fantastic concert the entire time, and it was made all the better by the warm reception John and Debby made for us at their home. We had a great time partying there and all day at the concert. Outstanding! bp

here in St.Louis county on a flood plain near the interstate inthe fields where mom used to pick stawberries for added income they built an outdoor ampitheater that attracted all the touring shows... My AUNT Shirley worked for Contempory Productions who used to produce the big shows in the city at Kiel Opra house and the Arena.. I had free passes and vip parking for 2 concectutive summers... can't name all the acts that i was there for but PARTY was the name of the game..the rich people had the fancy seats under a roof.. my free passes were good for the lawn seats on the hill.. kind of far from the stage but 2 large video screens showed how ugly and old the performers were  . being free to roam the "hill" , sitting crosslegged with a cold draft beer next to a cute stranger on an old blanket is better than a reserved seat anytime .. if things don't work out within a song or 2 ,just wander down a level or east-west..
