I am looking for photos, info or any memories of a 1969 Chevy Biscayne 425 HP car with an M22 that I am restoring. The car was owned by a GM employee when new, and still has the Flint Michigan Plant parking pass on the mirror. The car was raced at area tracks during the 70's, and still has homemade tow tabs on the front, so it could have been flat towed to any number of tracks, Detroit Dragway, Lapeer...?
If this car were a Camaro or Chevelle, the "needle in the haystack" would be too hard to find. But this Biscayne is one of only "6" 69 Biscaynes that ever had the 425 L72 motor with an M22 tranny. It was also unique in that it was ordered with no power options, and is a one year only color"Burnished Brown"
Does anyone remember seeing this car at any track during the day? A two ton ,brown, plain jane sedan ,with a solid lifter big block and a rockcrusher trans going through the gears is a sight that most would not forget.
I would really like to know this car's history, and any information or memories would be helpful. Thanks, Marc
