I am looking for information and photo's of the Trick T altered.I recently saw a photo taken in 1968,unfortunatly the car was in the far lane.
The car was blue,has #480 on the side also has NHRA National record holder painted on it.I think it ran in AA/A.

You are reffering to Ron Ellis' Trick T. based out of Saginaw Mich. it was orginally hued in blue, but in 69 it was adorned in lace green. It got runner up to Ohio George Montgomery in Super Comp at 69 Nationals. It was the class record holder at the time. It later was run with an AMX body for NHRA BB/A and local blown gas funny circuit that was surfacing.

The level of inspection to lay claim that your car was the Trick T is not capable by mere observation of your avatar I am afraid: Fore me anyway. However, I know that Ellis' chassis was built by the famed Logghe Bros of MI. Who built yours? I do see that your front coil spring setup was just like his.

I wish I could remember how to post a photo.In the photo I can see rear coilover suspention which must have been rare in it's day.Mine has this.Also the chassis has double tube side rails.At the front the bottom tube angles up to the top,also to a point.Mine does this also.The tubing is chrome moly,but is not identified in any way.My has a chrome 59 Olds rearend which seems original to the car.Thanks for responding, Boyd

That was an era when there were tons of alterds featurng the classic characteristics we see here. These cars were fun to watch in that they had character by being cantankerous in their antics. But as I said, Ellis ran the car with an AMX body later. But I guess when he sold it, it perhaps came with both shells
