Hi gang. Thanks to a call from Jerry and PMs from Cheryl today, I've learned that our beloved Comfort in is FULL, FULL, FULL! With the Des Moines reunion going on, we probably have to move quick on rooms. I called two additional hotels right on the strip in Oskaloosa today and I got some good info.

Here are two seemingly good choices. The Red Carpet has smaller beds but the price shows that. The America's Choice is more expensive, but the manager said that if I call him back with a number of guaranteed reservations, we can work a deal for 10 percent off. (This is not in place yet, so don't call and ask for it).

You can check them both out online... if either of these works for everyone, let me know and I will call back and nail down a better rate on the America's Choice place. Otherwise, the Red Carpet is ready to go. There are also other choices in Pella, etc., but these are right in town and both have plenty of rooms (for now)... bp

I'm with PRO Z, I don't care where we stay, just so long as we are together as a group with the Draglisters. Stiting around outside or in the lobby Fri & Sat nite with the gang is one of the best parts of the weekend.

Just pick one and let us know. 8) 8)

Wow, Ok BP, I would be in for the America's best or choice whatever it is called. 1-room for the Bakers. Let me know when we are to call to get one there.

OK, sounds like we have at least four five guarantees for the America's Best place. Let me see if that will seal the deal for us and I'll then announce it as the main place with the other place as a backup... stand by... bp

OK... it's a done deal. Here is the official hotel of the Draglist Nationals:

America's Best Value Inn
1315 A Ave E
Oskaloosa, IA 52577
(641) 673-8351

Give them about 20 minutes to bring the staff up to speed, then request the "Draglist Rate" on your rooms. They have several sizes and styles of rooms (and numbers of occupants, etc.), but they will take 10 percent off the price when you mention Draglist.

We can use the Red Carpet as a safety valve... in case we run the America's Best out of rooms... thanks again to Jer and Cheryl (and I think Zappy behind the scenes) for the heads up!

PS... if there is any question, ask for Paul, the manager. bp
