So Friday, I'm at the funeral for my friend Bob Betzer and get talking to this couple who used to live here in Carlisle, IA. Come to find out their son used to come to Carlisle every summer to his grandparents house and our son was one of kids he hung out with. The kid (Bill Kline) is now in his 40's lives in Houston and has a band. He goes by the name Billy Bourbon. So, I e mail Wildcat and ask if he ever heard of the guy. Not only has he heard of him, he knows him.
To steal a WC quote.
Life is good!

Yes, Billy's the real deal...tough looking guy but he's a good dude. We talked about collaborating on some stuff he had going on...he had me in mind for some keyboard parts on a CD project he was doing...went on down the road and didn't get to it, but we had a pleasant and interesting encounter and conversation. He's out there every weekend like a lot of us are, sometimes we run into each other and it's always good to see Billy. He's a pro and he has a good name in town. And yes, life is good! Cheers, WC1
