Mike ran a beautiful Studebaker gasser in the B/GS class with us at the Midwest nostalgia races. He was a fellow Donovan nut, a great competitor and an all around great guy. He succumbed to a fight with cancer yesterday. Mike will be missed greatly.

Hello everyone

I met Mike at Wentzville Raceway summer of 94 while working in the St.Louis area. Remember walking the pits when a bright red blown Stude passes me, WOW!, 10.50ET in a ball of smoke, (drum brakes!). His car was still a streeter and stock chassis. Being from a Studebaker family, I introduced myself and got to know him. I turned him on to a disc brake conversion for Stude spindles.
Being the Gentlemen he was, he invited me to his home for a visit. Relics galore, he even had a decklid off the first 32 Ford to go 200 at Boneville!

I later sold him a couple gas pump signs (Texaco Fire-Cheif). One of which had his late fathers birthday for the manufacturing date, which brought a tear to Mikes eye.
I last saw him in ST. Clair July 07 while on my way to Phoenix to work that summer. Dont know if he was sick then though. If he was, he never mentioned it.

But all in all Mike was a great guy and fellow hot-rodder and will be missed. Please pardon my rant, but wanted to share. R.I.P.
