Doug Moody who ran a alcohol car with partner Steve Clark, passed away this weekend at the age of 59. Doug was involved in an accident in 1976 at the World Finals in Ontario, CA. As a result of the accident, Doug was confined to a wheelchair. He went onto college and got his degree in electronics and was working for Edelbrock's Electronic division. God speed my friend.

RIP, Doug. That Rentex Corvette was one of the baddest on the circuit before the accident. bp

Doug was a friend from many years ago. Doug grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta, not Edmonton, but moved to Edmonton when he was a young man, in his early 20's after his marriage to Brenda.

My husband was best man for Doug and Brenda, Doug's first wife and Doug was best man at our wedding in 1971.

I remember travelling to Edmonton in about 1972, with some friends of ours.

Doug knew that I was a pretty naive person as were the rest of the foursome. It was an interesting night that one, Doug was the guy that introduced us naive Lethbridgites to breasts that have total control and tranvestites that are amazingly beautiful. When we finally figured out we were in a transvestite bar, Doug almost fell off his chair.

I will miss Doug. I wish I had made more of an effort to keep in touch, I did talk to him from time to time, but rarely.

All of Doug's friends from his teenage years here in Lethbridge are going to get together and hold a get together, a remember Doug thing.

And losing him has taught us that we all need to keep in touch more.

RIP Doug, you will be missed
