I was wondering if anyone can remember a Stock or Super Stock Red 1970 Chevelle from Alabama that ran in mid to late '70's. The name on the car was Alabama Red Light Bandit or maybe just Red Light Bandit. I think he set world records in '78 and '79. I might have had a dream or something but I want to say his name was Roy Daughtery. Ran mostly in south southeast. I know he ran alot at Bristol cause thats where I saw him and I think he set one of his records there. If anyone can remember him please point me in the direction of some information on his car or history.
Thanks Daniel

Thanks BP, Maybe I'll get lucky and find him or maybe the car. I heard thru the grapevine he might still have it but you know how that goes. Anyways thanks for the reply.

I know the car you are talking about. It belongs to Richard Daughtery from Heflin Alabama, he also ran a similar car in IHRA super rod.
