Wanted:
Trying to locate photographs from God's Thunder Valley Raceway. The track was only open for a short period of time in the early 1970's.
Specifically trying to locate pictures of some cars my father raced there. Probably around 1972 or 1973, he ran a 1957 Nomad with a small block and backed by a 4-speed. The car was an original GM color (almost pink in color) and had a large hand-made black sheetmetal scoop. The Nomad had stock steel wheels on the front and aluminum slotted wheels on the rear. For a short period, the car was powered by a 1970 454 LS-6.
Also wanting to locate pictures of several Pontiacs my father raced too. He raced for a gentlemen by the name of Selden Ruwwe. Selden owned three red 1962 Catalinas (2 hardtops and one sedan - called cars "Tin Indian" "Tin Indian II" and "Discontinued") and one candyapple red 1963 Tempest (car had a large pro stock style scoop with magnesium front wheels and steel wheels on the rear - later the car was called "Pontiac Strikes Again" and had lightweight cragar wheels all around.)
The Pontiacs were raced at St. Genevieve, MO, I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO, MAR in Wentzville, MO and I-57 Raceway in Benton, IL. The Tin Indian and the Tempest were ran at Sullivan's trac kfor a short period of time.
Any help locating pictures of these cars would be greatly appreciated.
