Hey Y'all:

Does anyone have any pictures or anything concerning Camp Wheeler Drag Strip in Macon, GA? Also, could anyone tell me exactly where it used to be located at? My father used to race there and I would like to visit the area and see what it looks like now.

I've never heard of Camp Wheeler Dragstrip, but I attended Warner-Robbins a few times. It was one of, if not the only 1/8th mile tracks in the southeast to host a divisional race...sadly, I don't remember the date(s) for those divisionals

Being as how you got my curiosity up, I placed a call to a buddy of mine who raced there a lot back in the day (Warner-Robbins) and he said that He had "heard" of Camp Wheeler, but that it was "before HIS time"....Sorry can't be of any more help

If you are still interested in information on Camp Wheeler Dragstrip, I can tell you where it is and I have some pictures I took a couple of years ago. I grew up off Riggins Mill Road and went to the drag strip quite often.
What was your dad's name. I might recognize it.
