Less than a week after being inducted into the Md. Intl. Racewsy "Hall of Fame", Bill Gray a MIR fixture for over 40 years has pass the finish-line of life. He worked and lived drag racing. A great guy and was also a member of the (JA) Stone's Store Club. A place at the entrance to MIR which also serve as a community meeting place. You will be missed ole friend, with that "Jukebox" sounding golf cart.
RIP ole friend of the racers and spectators alike.

As I said last Saturday, Bill was a mountain of a man with the strongest handshake I ever felt. He always was good natured and friendly and he kept the MIR grounds well maintained and safe. I'm so glad we were able to thank him publicly and it was a good move on Royce's part to induct our first 2011 MIR Legend a year early. RIP, Bill. bp

Have been mostly out of town since the 3rd and just saw this.
I am so saddened.
Bill and the boom box buggy were always either at the track, where he lived on site for almost 40 years,or Stones Store across the hwy on the top end.Bill always took pride that he had a T-shirt from everyone in racing and most he kept as collector items. He was a gentle giant and a friend to all. Knew everything about everyone and loved people.
He will be greatly missed.
Rest in Peace Bill.
