Man another crossed the finish line of life! The brothers Bill & Bob built the "Goldenrod" in
the back of a roadside stand and went on to set a LSR at Bonneville. RIP Bill you sure are
getting a lot of company this week.

Goldenrod was absolutely gorgeous and it was an engineering marvel. Rest in peace, Bill, and thanks for the great memories. WC1

Back in the late 70's I had a friend who worked for Summers Bros in the shipping department. While cruising around, I asked what ever become of the famous streamliner. He said it was being stored in a used car lot not far from the shop. Sure enough, we proceeded there and discovered this long open trailer upon which sat a cigar shaped vehicle clothed in an old tarp. We lifted the tarp and there it was, the Golden Rod.
