On this day in London. A tragedy that I still to this day feel. He left us with a three-year-window, and in that space he re-wrote the whole book. I just can't help but wonder what he would be doing now. He'd be 63. Jimi never left me, not for one day. I've never lost touch with his spirit. The jams that him and Frank Zappa and SRV are having are no doubt awesome...some day we'll get to check 'em out...WC1

WC, you just winged my imagination with a force of 3 G's. Somewhere in the next life, a studio with unlimited technology available where Jimi is rehearsing with Miles Davis on mixing board and keyboards, Elvin Jones on drums, Mingus on accoustic bass..and Noel Redding on electric bass once again...and look! John Coltrane just walked in as the whole ensemble goes into "Naima". y'all ready for this?........"I'd die to see that band!"

I can't believe it's been that long. There's not a day goes by I don't listen to one or more of them either on vinyl, cassette, CD, or satellite radio. IMO the best ones all left us way too early.

I found this picture tacked to the wall next to my oldest son Kyle's desk upstairs last night...it's a shot of Hendrix I'd never seen...if anybody has 3-D glasses, get 'em out and look...this is Jimi as I remember him best...Cheers, WC1

A friend of mine still has the concert ticket he bought and never got to use - he still (jokingly) acts pissed off that Jimi "up and died before I could see him in person".
