For those of you that don't know me.
I'm Rob Grangrade, AKA RobbieG. or Robbieracer.
I'm a bracket racer from Phoenix Arizona.
My car is the ThunderHorse 1967 Mustang Coupe.
I race mainly at Speedworld Motorplex and race on/for Team Speedworld.
My car normaly runs 12.2@109mph but I toasted my motor at the first team race and am running my old bone stock street motor, that sadly runs 13.9@92mph....sooooooooooo slow!!!!
Well lets start this off with good news. I'm taking the block to the shop today to have it cleaned, bored, and new cam bearings and get the crank reground. Then I can get the "race" motor back togeather. With any luck I'll have it back in the car in the next few weeks.
I plan on racing in the Open Comp class at the PSCA race in 2 weeks.
I'll let Y'all know how I do.

One of these weekends I'll go thru all the extra NOS kits I have around the garage. I know I have a Sniper kit that would fit right on that Horsey. I'm sure you don't want to go up to the 400HP Big Shot or 500HP+ Pro Race Fogger. It would be a fun ride though.

Here's an effect of that much NOS on a 5.0 Mustang:

It's obvious that that particular engine wasn't tuned properly.

Robbie Racer of Thunderhorse Racing, you've got a great hot rod and you're getting your program together one step at a time. I remember when you drove to Colorado to get that car and it gets better every time you go out...well, almost...but what the heck. You're out there drag racing, and having more fun than thousands of people put together. Ride on, be safe and thanks for the updates. Cheers, WC1
