November 6, 2001, A.P. NewsWire, Phoenix, AZ. The attached "Spy Photo" was shot yesterday at the General Motors skunkworks -- an undisclosed location somewhere near Phoenix, AZ. The photo clearly shows that early testing of Chevrolet's SSR Pro Stock Pickup prototype has uncovered some serious aerodynamic "issues."

An unnamed source within the Chevrolet Motor Division has quoted Specialty Vehicles Department head John Moss as saying that "The company now plans to withdraw the SSR Pro Stock Pickup from entry in 2002 NHRA competition." Other unidentified sources within General Motors are currently seeking quarter mile wheelstander bookings.
