Funny Car Steve Nichols qualified 6th with a 6.312 sec 217.86 mph pass. Its a long haul from Delaware for this team and we sure are happy to see this beautiful car. |

Junior Fuel Final Round J.D. Zink does a dramatic blowover followed by several barrel rolls before coming to a rest. Thankfully JD appears to be okay. |

Larry Pettit made the first VRA 5-second pass with a super 5.928 sec 245.16 mph and took the Funny Car title. Larry backed it up with an even quicker elapsed time for the record with a 5.927 sec pass. Larry was also the 2005 Funny Car Class Champion. |

B/Gas winner Red McGuiness' '70 Mustang qualified 7th on his final attempt. McGuiness had an easy Final Round when Jim Teague red lighted. |

The Winged Express' chassis hits the track while the wheel shoots away. Mike Boyd slammed into the left concrete barrier, popped the chutes and ended up on its side. Mike is okay. |

A/Fuel winner Claude Lavoie ran the quickest pass in class history with a 6.179 sec but wasn't able to back it up for a record. Claude was the 2005 A/Fuel Class Champion. |

AA/GS Chris Abbey not only took the title but also the class Championship. Chris won two events during the year and had low E.T. and Top Speed at each event. |
