First Look at the Two Thing Twin
By Jim Nelson
These are a couple pictures of our TWO THING dragster! This is an identical reproduction of the car we built in 1961. We lost track of the original car after we sold it. The only original part is the steering wheel (which we used on all our own cars). You can’t imagine the trouble we had locating the parts. For your info, both engines are 350 Chevys, side by side canted together, and meshed at the flywheel ring gears. The right engine rotates normally and the left engine rotates backwards. The clutch and drive line runs off the right engine. THINK ABOUT IT! There were 150 other things to take care of in the first time around. The only thing the car will be used for is the Cackle Fest at the reunion, maybe the Winters Cacklefest, and then the NHRA museum.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
