Patriotic Matchup

David caught this classic match up of two armed forces sponsored funny cars. Bob Pickett and Tom McEwen get it on during the Fourth of July weekend in 1976. The race was the final AHRA Nationals held at Green Valley Race City. It looks like McEwen Navy car is going to beat the Marines car of Mickey Thompson.
