Dale Armstrong was one of the greatest tuners and Pro Comp racers of all time. This great Mike Ditty shot caught both of Dale's Pro Comp machines. Armstrong hailed from Torrance, California, a hotbed of tough Pro Comp racing teams including Dale, Ken Veney, Wilfred Boutier, Simon Menzies, Billy Williams, and many others. Armstrong's Donovan powered machines ran deep into the 6.40 zone while most competitors were struggling for 6.60s. Dale even tried nitrous on the funny car in an attempt to race against nitro powered machines. No one can argue with Dale Armstrong's place as one of the top tuners in drag racing history.
