Booth Racing’s 1953 Pro Mod Corvette

The Booth Racing 1953 Pro Mod Corvette is one of the toughest racers on the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association tour. The Booths have been on the tour since the late nineties. This 1953 Corvette is the second for Don and Bobby Booth. The new car replaced the team’s popular 38 Chevrolet last year. Tim McAmis built the chassis and the Booths finished the rest of the car. The Vette has a 526 Pontiac for power backed by a 3 speed Lenco. Paint & body work was handled by the Clark Bros. Paint & Body. The simple bold red color makes Booth's car stand out in a field of wild paints jobs.

Bobby Booth is a second generation racer following in the footsteps of father Don, who made it all the way to the Top Alcohol Dragster class in the early 80s. The Corvette runs as good as it looks, too. Booth has hit a best of 4.003 at 179.78 at Redline Raceway. A three second run is imminent.   The team has been to four finals this year, winning the TOPMA race at Caddo Mills two weeks ago. Bobby Booth is number two in the TOPMA points standings right now.
