Another casualty in the drag racing world, but this time it's just a car -- the (recently sold) Steve Plueger Pontiac.
Eighteen months ago, this vehicle came out of nowhere and quickly became a symbol of hope for diehard fuel nuts. This was the low bucker you just knew was going to give the big dogs a poke in the eye. Never mind that it never happened, the vehicle cast a spell unlike any other funny car in a long, long time. Despite making just a handful of appearances, this machine left behind an impression that will be remembered for decades, a valiant last stand. Goodbye, Plueger Pontiac.
