Shake, Rattle & Runnin' Again!

The Early Days...

After retiring the car some 12 years ago, Dick Messino and his two sons Chris and Paul have decided to bring back the legendary doorslammer known as “Shake, Rattle & Run.”

The first thing was to update the chassis, so they brought the car to Gene Pudlo's race car shop in Hammond, Indiana, to get a complete overhaul. With the new 25c1 chassis, the old ‘57 can get into the six second zone! It then will be going to the Modern Carriage Werks in Bridgeview, Illinois, in about 3-4 weeks for a new paint job.

Pro Stock racer Kevin Lawrence will be the shoe for Dick and the Gang when he's not racing his Cavalier in the NHRA Pro Stock Series. Stay tuned for more on the rebirth of “Shake, Rattle & Run!” Here are some great Pete Gemar pics of the car in various incarnations…
