Bic Lighters to Sponsor Hanna Motorsports “Queen of Diamonds” Jet

6/1/05 – Al Hanna, President of Hanna Motorsports, Enfield, CT, today announced that Bic Corporation, Milford, CT, has agreed to a sponsorship program for the Jessie Harris-driven ‘Queen of Diamonds’ 300 MPH Jet Dragster, by its Bic Lighters Division.  As part of this program, Bic plans to produce a 12-lighter ‘Jet Car’ lighter series featuring all of the Hanna Motorsports jet cars, the ‘Queen of Diamonds,’ the ‘Top Secret’ Firebird, and the ‘First Strike’ Firebird.

“Personally, I’m proud of our new association with the folks at Bic Lighters”, stated Jessie Harris.  “They really have an interest in our program, and we look to have a long-term relationship with them.”  “I am very happy with this program, and add my thanks to Bic.” added Al Hanna.

Sheila Fox, Marketing Director for the Bic Lighter Division added “We are pleased to have this program, and having Jessie Harris, a terrific young and successful driver, based in Connecticut, and representing our lighter division, is all good.”

As part of this initial program, Jessie will make a personal appearance at Bic Corporation in Milford, Connecticut July 22nd where she’ll visit with the staff and all those in manufacturing.  The ‘Queen of Diamonds’ dragster will also be on display, and Jessie will take everyone through the process of driving this incredible 300 MPH machine.

In September, Jessie has been invited to speak at Bic’s National Sales Meeting to be held in Uncasville, Connecticut, at the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort.  “I’m a real people person, and I can’t wait to meet all our new friends from Bic”, added Jessie.

In 2005, the Jessie Harris-driven ‘Queen of Diamonds’ Jet Dragster appears in more then 35 events across the nation.  In the near future, she’ll make appearances in Pittsburgh, Englishtown, NJ, Norwalk, Ohio, Columbus, and make a special appearance in Rome, NY July 20th as part of the ‘Summer in the Square’ Series sponsored by Rite-Aid.
