York US 30 Musclecar Madness THIS weekend!
York, PA - Over 600 of the country's finest musclecars, street rods, and custom trucks will converge on the York Fairgrounds, York Expo Center on Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th at the Cruisin' Into Summer cruise in during the Fourth Annual York US 30 Musclecar Madness show presented by Cloister Car Wash and Lube.
The York event has grown into a major nostalgia drag race and muscle car show that has been highlighted in nine national magazines. Cars from surrounding states, Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware will join those from Pennsylvania in two days of action packed activity on the outside plaza enjoying music by a DJ, vying for special prizes and awards plus the opportunity to try America's first and only 100% AWD Chassis Dyno. The inside show will feature 170 nostalgia drag race and muscle cars from the 60's and '70's, the annual reunion of the former staff and management of York US 30 Dragway and the annual reunion of the Legends of Drag Racing.
Personalities who will be in attendance will include "Rapid Red" Lang, Tom Raley, Jim & Alison Lee, Dick Brannan, Sam Auxier, Jr., Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, Joe Jacono, Ed Hedrick, Wally Bell, Bill Stiles, Bruce Larson, "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter" Linda Vaughn, Al "Mousie" Marcellus, Ronnie Sox, Buddy Martin, Tom Sneden, Herb McCandless, Dave Koffel, the Mallicoat Bros., Biddy Winward, Bud Faubel, Tom Hoover, Jere Stahl and many more.
The show benefits the York County SPCA with proceeds from the People's Choice voting canisters, a special memorabilia auction on Saturday at 6:30 p.m., and special drawings that are held during the show.
The Second Annual Legion of Honor Awards Ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday recognizing an elite group of recipients for their contributions to our performance heritage.
The show opens on Friday, July 8th at 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 9th from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with action swinging to Beaver Springs Dragway on Sunday, July 10th with the presentation of the Second Annual York US 30 Nostalgia Nationals.
