30th Oldies but Goodies Event Thrills Woodburn Crowd
Beautiful sunshine and summer weather greeted the many race fans at the 30th Annual Oldies but Goodies at Woodburn Dragstrip on June 24-25, 2006. Jeff Ashwell, from Salem, thrilled the crowd with a 6.26 pass at 231 miles per hour in his '53 Corvette Funny Car. Dave Hix, from Medford, was equally exciting in his nitro-fueled roadster at 6.54 seconds and 218 MPH. Gary Eickman, also from Salem, was impressive in his A-fuel Dragster at 204 MPH.
