Woodburn Hosts Hot Rod Nationals

A fantastic weekend of nostalgia racing culminated Sunday, August 13 with cars from the Northwest competing in the 18th Annual Hot Rod Nationals.  Dale Harsin, from Boise ID, set low ET for Sunday in his '57 Chev F/C with a 6.509 sec. blast at 220 MPH.  Gary Eickmann, from Salem OR, wheeled his A/F dragster to a 6.87 blast at 208 MPH.  On Saturday, Jeff Ashwell from Salem OR  set low ET for the weekend as he thundered through the quarter mile in 6.24 seconds.  Other feature cars included Frank Knokey, Bernie Rugg, Donn Hosford, and Matt Moreira.  Individual class results are listed below.
