Sonny Bryant was one of the small group of Pro Stock racers who continued to race the big block Chevy Camaro when most bowtie guys went to the shorter wheelbased Monzas and Vegas. HIs Camaros were always a serious threat to win in West Coast races. The crankshaft builder continued to race Pro Stockers into the 1982 season, quitting when NHRA changed the rules to 500 cubic inch big blocks.
