The Thurmond Bros. 32 Ford T AA/FA was one of the last steel body altereds to run in the 1960s Southern California fuel altered wars. The Ford was a throwback to the original fuel altereds of the 1950s. The brothers remained competitive despite giving up several hundred pounds to the lighter Model Ts, Fiats, and Bantams. The wild Ford made it into the low 8-second zone while winning several races.
