Sign of the Times

In 1987, Keith Stark debuted this
streamlined dragster built by Mike Spitzer. The car featured the canopy
and spoon front end that Don
Garlits made popular. The Spitzer Motorsports car replaced Keith's
venerable 10-year old machine. The car went 6.35 at 219, but only lasted
one season before being replaced by a longer dragster without the
aerodynamics.
