Jerry Gulley's Southern Star TA/FC Charger is caught in action at the original Bristol Raceway. Gulley was the first funny car racer to return to IHRA competition when IHRA made a class for them in the IHRA Modified class. Gulley's car was colorful and ran in the high sixes in the mid eighties. Gulley replaced this car with a modern Ford Probe that ran much faster.
