Driver Maynard Rupp won the NHRA Top Fuel World Championship at the World Finals held at Tulsa. The famed chassis builders the Logghe Bros. built and owned the Prussian which also won Spring Nationals at Bristol Tenn. Rupp also set the A/FD National record of 194.80 at National Trail Raceway Columbus, Ohio, in the Roy Steffey tuned machine.
