Magic Time

Was looking on your site and noticed you needed info on the old “Purple
Magic” Funny Car. I’ve attached a picture from around 75 or 76 taken at
Connecticut Dragway by Jon Graves of Colchester, CT. To my knowledge the car was
built by Kevin Murray of “Frame-Up Engineering” in Enfield, CT or possibly
resurrected by him.
I knew Bob for a number of years and he survived a horrendous crash at New
England Dragway in the “New Englander” Top Fueler and spent many years
recovering only to be killed on his motor cycle by someone running a red
light!
The Funny Car picture I sent, although B&W, was painted by my cousin
Danny Magnon in his Rockville, CT shop called “Color Creations” by Danny. The
paint scheme was dreamed up by the owner who’s name escapes me at the moment, I
remember it being a deep candy purple with the arrow stripes if that’s what they
are called being candy yellow with red/orange accents...yuk.
