Redline Raceway in Caddo Mills, Texas introduced a new doorslammer class for the first Saturday of every month. The new class is the Top Gun class for doorslammers on a 5.80 index. Among the rules there are no throttle stops and timers allowed! There was a great turnout of sixteen cars for the first round of qualifying, RK McCoy was the low qualifier in his first generation Camaro witha 5.80. The winner of the first Top Gun race was Bryan Anderson in his family's Trans Am. It should be noted that this was Bryan's first race after battling cancer last year. Anderson drove the former Phillip Muse Trans Am to the winners circle witha series of great lights and low 5.80's runs. Anderson wanted to thank his Mom and Dad and his family for all their support.
Bryan Anderson was the first 5.80 Top Gun winner at Caddo Mills in his father's Trans Am.
