What Happened to the Worm

Some old race car cars never die, they just keep running and running like the infamous Energizer bunny. Our old Super Pro Camaro has been raced since the 1960s. Second owner Bill Teafatiller had seen it racing in 1969 by Ken Smith at Wichita Falls. Over the years the Inch Worm evolved and was updated several times. The car was raced as a class legal car, and in Super Gas, Super Street, Super Pro, and as of last year, in the ORSCA 5.30 class by Alan Holcomb. It has had nine different owners who have used big blocks and small blocks with automatics and manual transmissions. When we had the car, we rebuilt it from the ground up and it had various changes over the years. Alan Holcomb of Georgia bought the car from Louis Pirholda Jr. and had the car updated to run the 5.30 class with the first major chassis overhaul since the car received a Jeg's chassis. It is nice to know the former Inch Worm is still around and is faster than ever.
