| Jason Scruggs was well on his way to a win at this point over Wes Johnston. |
In Pro Extreme it was Jason Scruggs defeating nearly racer Wes Johnston in the finals. Scruggs while not dominating in taking the win Friday night did what had to be done to win. That included replacing the transmission in the new Stratus with one from the old Vette in between rounds. Scruggs beat Bil Clanton and Brian Daniels on the way to the finals. Scruggs defeated Wes Johnston for his second belt in a row 4.153 151.15 to 9.713 51.30.

Harper beat Burton Auxier and Shannon Jenkins to get the chance to race Rickie Smith who ran a 3.93 in testing earlier that day. In a wild turn of events Smith failed to qualify for the race the next day.

Billy Glidden might have had a late start to his ADRL career this year due to his NHRA Pro Stock foray, but that did not matter as Billy continued his ADRL win streak. Billy beat Mike Hill in the finals 4.152 172.94 to 61.61. Glidden would go on to win again on Saturday to pull an amazing double win.
