Ed Roach Wins Auto Pro Mod Race at Crandall!

For those of you who have not seen this group of racers they are an all new class that is fast and up and coming in the racing scene! The Auto Promods are just that "Automatic"! You will find them coming from all over Texas to Compete without an index! It's all Heads Up and Out the Door Style Racing! Chassis and Back Half can compete if you have got what it takes and an Automatic to go with it! A record 19 teams were on hand at Dallas Raceway to battle it out at the 1st AutoProMod race in the DFW area. After 2 rounds of qualifying here's how it went down.

First Rnd

Ratdaddy 4.402 163.67MPH

Eric with a slight holeshot advantage has transmission troubles and has to lift while #1 qualifier Matt “Ratdaddy” Seigel was on another low 40 pass taking the win.

Eddie Roach 4.868 150.06MPH
Mel “Peanut” Jackson 4.753 122.88MPH

Peanut gets caught napping at the tree as Eddie takes the hole shot advantage victory.

Clint Satterfield 5.234 151.90MPH
Greg Green 10.857 64.76MPH

Clint has a nice wheel stand and has to lift. Greg has issues and idles down the track. Clint advances to the next round.

Gaylon Gradick 4.729 138.06MPH
Chris Dollar 9.675 29.05MPH

Chris has a near perfect .006 light but breaks the wheelie bars and sends his Firebird almost completely vertical. Chris comes down hard and crushes the oil pan and breaking the rack. Chris was OK. Gaylon gets out of shape mid track and has to lift.

Round 2

Gaylon has a slight hole shot advantage but gets loose on the big end and has to lift. Eddie pulls off the upset of the night taking out the #2 qualifier. The ROG goes on to the final round.

Rat’s throttle broke and had to forfeit the round. Clint cruises on to his first APM final.

Final Round

Clint turns on the red light. Eddie on another solid 4.70 pass takes home his first APM victory. Congrats to Eddie and the entire Red Oak Gang.
