July 4th had its own Fireworks going on at Texas Raceway Friday night! We had cars that came from Louisiana and from East Texas to run with us, so, it made for a whole new mix of cars and drivers. The fans were really enjoying their evening.
There were 16 cars that turned out for this one and Small Tire really dominated the Big Tire class!
Round 1:
Tony Harvey (W) Beautiful 66 Chevy II from Louisiana
Jim Perez (L) Awesome Chevy Luv Truck
Mike Jordan (W) Dallas Mustang
Mike Millsap (L) Sachse Mustang (.106 to .292 cost him this one)
Kelly Willis (W) Melton Motorsports Turbo Stang
Justin Harvey (Foul) Louisiana Nova
Joe Melton (W) Turbo Melton Motorsports Camaro
Greg Green (Foul -.002) Showcar Style 57 Chevy
William Allen (W) Kilgore TX Camaro
Fernando Ayala (Foul) Spanish Fly was having problems and just wasn't ready to play
LiL Fernando Ayala (W) That Blue Deuce was on it's game
Russ Teager (L) Fired Up Nova was ready for action and just missed it
.099 to a .150 and a 115.33 to a 115.62 was the difference between these two. This was a tight race and the holeshot cost the FuN this round!

Ray Longoria (L) X430 had problems when that light went green
Al "Snake" Sneed (W) Free standing Camaro
Reid Moore (L) Little Black Stang
The light went green and Snake hit it and blew the tires off badly got it hooked up and went on. Reid had some problems and had to pull to the side and stop.

This was an awesome Stang vs. Stang round: .007 difference to alter history.

This was to be a perfect match heads up race and Fernando experienced some problems at the Tree that cost him this round.
