| John Sheffield |
We had 19 Backhalf cars roll in for a great night of racing at Texas
Raceway. The staff had the track in great shape and these guys were ready to put
it to the test. And that they did!
Round 1
Rodney Whatley (W) No Mercy 00 Camaro .081
Vincent Freeman (L) Great 67 Camaro .467
Vincent was late off the line but he sure tried to run that Camaro
down!
Tony Thorn (W) Bad Purple Camaro .072
Mike Kelley (L) Beautiful 03 Mustang .126
Tony was better off the tree than Mike, but, Mike experienced some problems
with the car.
Kelly Willis (W) 93 Turbo Stang .060
Fernando Ayala (L) Spanish Fly .052
The Spanish Fly was out of the hole first, but, that beast went wild on the
track.
John Sheffield (W) 92 Turbo Stang .059
Mike Millsap (L) 89 Orange Stang .327
This cost Mike.
Butch Johnson (W) Bad 55 Chevy .032
Joe Melton (L) 68 Turbo Camaro .203
JoJo was off his game with the Camaro tonight, he'll get it figured out and
be back.
Gary Lynch (W) 73 Camo "Redneck" Luv Truck .111
Phillip Wilson (L) 89 Mustang .036
Flip knew what he was doing when he cut that light and the "Redneck" hooked
up and ran him down.
It cost the "Redneck" Luv Truck a transmission, but, look for him to just
get better.
Raymond Longoria (W) X430 Camaro .226
Russ Teager (L) Fired up Nova .196
Russ knew he had to be out there on this one, but, X430 ran him down.
Fernando Ayala, Jr. (Bye) 67 Blue Deuce
Mike Jordan (Broke)
Billy Hart (W) Purple Haze Camaro .042
Justin Blair (L) 79 Checkered Corvette .129
Justin was off his game tonight and Billy cut that light and was
gone!
Eric Meyer (Bye) 84 S10 Truck
Round 2
Rodney Whatley (W) .040
Billy Hart (L) .296
Billy deep staged and then left late to keep from seeing Red and just
couldn't catch that No Mercy Camaro.
But it was so close you had to wait for the light to see who won!
Tony Thorn (W) .122
Fernando Ayala, Jr. (L) .171
John Sheffield (W) .042
Eric Meyer (L) .053
When that light went green Eric hooked up and his trans wasn't ready for it
and he broke. Did a great job of pulling off to the side and no issues with the
track.
John Sheffield had the fastest speed of the night with 149.20
Butch Johnson (W) .052
Raymond Longoria (L) .660
X430 had car issues and got fired up to run his best for the night but just
wasn't enough to stop that Bad 55.
Kelly Willis (Bye)
Round 3
John Sheffield (W) .097
Butch Johnson (L) .058
That 55 had his hands full with this one and had to watch John get passed
him.
Kelly Willis (W) .045
Tony Thorn (L) .026
Tony was out on that Turbo Stang but just couldn't hold Kelly off and they
both ran a nice number.
Rodney Whatley (Bye) .076
Semi's
Kelly Willis (W) .070
Rodney Whatley (Foul) -.024
Rodney knew he had to cut that light close he just went way Red on this one
to give it away.
