Here are some pics of the new Firebird for the 2003 season. I just
finished mounting, preparing, and painting the body. I bought a new
digital camera while I was off work recuperating from knee surgery in
October, so I am going to take step by step photos of the paint process.
The new body is just the start of the big changes for next year. I have
made the step to become a major player in NHRA. I now have the latest
Veney/Newberry combination topped with one of the latest PSI screw
blowers. Also, I have become friends with veteran fuel and alcohol tuner
Tom Anderson, who will be overseeing the tuning as well as providing the
new fuel system.
Never before have I been so excited about an upcoming season as the
2003 season. If everything goes as planned, I hope to shake the new combo
down at the Division 2 race in Orlando, Florida, then start to turn up the
wick at the Gatornationals. The colors of the car are completely different
as well as the design. I did the entire paint and lettering myself to help
push the paint side of Bruce Mullins Racing. I have painted nearly 20
racecars in the last year and I would like to do more. See everyone at the
drags in 2003!
