Al Joniec made his way through the Super Stock ranks onto the funny cars and like others finishing with a Pro Stocker. The Rice-Holman Maverick was built when the cars were closer to stock. This Maverick, named the Bat Car, had a rare race only 427 SOHC engine backed with a real four-speed transmission.
