After racing fuel altereds in the 1960s, Rich Guasco switched over to funny cars in the 1970s. Much like his altereds had been, the
Pure Hell AA/FC Dodge Demon was drop dead gorgeous. Several drivers drove the purple beauty, including Elwyn Carlson, Dave Beebe, Richard Tharp, and others. The Demon was competitive, but never achieved the notoriety of Rich's fuel altereds.
