Sherm Gunn pulled off one of the sport's biggest
upsets when he won the 1984 Winston Finals at Pomona. Sherm built the
car in his M&S Welding chassis shop and ran it on his own money. He
came out on top of many high dollar, sponsored teams to earn his place in history. Here is Sherm at Indy 1984.
Sherm is shown here racing his Camaro at Carlsbad, California. His opponent is former sand drag racer Billy McCahill in the Dr. Pepper Chevy Citation.
