“Hot From The Strip!" Music/Drag Culture CD Benefits Drag Racing Journalist

A special CD titled "Hot from the Strip!" has been released in conjunction with the 35th annual K&N Filters NHRA SuperNationals to help raise funds for Becky White, the publisher of Quick Times Racing News who was recently injured in an auto accident. Becky's care and recovery is costly, this is an opportunity to help a genuine true-to-the-heart member of our drag racing community with her mounting medical costs, while getting yourself lifelong entertainment. The hour-long CD features drag racing tunes from the Blast First/Mute/EMI recording duo Big Stick, which includes drag journalist Diana "The Doc" Thomas. "Hot from the Strip" also features some extremely rare, old school drag racing commercials, snippets from Wildgirl's Rock-n-Racing radio archives, featuring an interview with the late "Big Daddy" Roth, and the voices of drag greats John Force, Don Prudhomme, Cruz Pedregon, Levi Holmes, "Jungle Pam" and others.

Additionally, there's a "Sounds of the Drags" segment recorded at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park with live recordings of all kinds of drag strip machinery, including wild 'n' wicked audio captures of Nitro Diggers and Floppers. It's a cool audio trip to the drag strip; it's an outright exhilarating experience!
