Throwback Thursday: Injected Nitro Funny Cars

In the day, injected nitro funny cars were a mainstay of drag racing as a second tier show for the fans. Gene Snow's A/FC was driven by Terry Pringle in the early 70s in the Texas area. Injected nitro funny cars fell by the wayside with the advent of Pro Comp and the rise of alcohol funny cars. The genre made a slight return in the nineties in IHRA racing but was legislated out due to the world beating times run by Scott Weis.
