Riesterer and LenMar Motorsports Merge

Doug Riesterer and LenMar Motorsports have struck a deal. LenMar Motorsports will partner with Doug Riesterer for the next 3 years. “LenMar Motorsports is proud to bring Doug on as a team car,” said Gaylen Smith, president and CEO of LenMar Motorsports. “Doug is one of the good guys, and well respected,” Smith continued, “Doug has come a long ways to be one of the strongest nitrous competitors. We feel that Doug will promote LenMar and our full service shop.”
The addition of Doug to the LenMar stable gives this team yet another weapon in their already potent arsenal of Outlaw Pro Modified race cars. It appears that LenMar is on a mission; their objective is winning the 2009 ADRL Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous championship and that $30,000 TOPMA championship fund! Riesterer changed to Reher-Morrison power in the off season and placed 822 CID under the scoop of his home built 68 Camaro. Doug had an unfortunate mishap in the first round of qualifying at the ADRL race in Baytown, TX. The Camaro took off like a rocket, but 60’ later it turned sideways, impacting the wall almost head on, then going back across hitting the left wall, and coming to a stop. The car suffered heavy front end damage and damage to the rear of the car. “The car is in the rebuild process and we should be out testing by May,” stated Riesterer.

“I am super excited and ready to be a part of Team LenMar,” said Doug. “We are very serious about winning our first championship. We’re really looking forward to getting back out to the track and start testing. Our plans for this season include running a full TOPMA and ADRL schedule, if we can be competitive.” Riesterer continued, “I feel if we can make the top 8 in the Battle of the Belts, we stand a good chance of winning it.”
“Now we can try things we were unable to try in the past, and we are ecstatic to be part of the team,” said Riesterer. The Camaro will be fitted with a new vinyl wrap, and the new name of the car will be MAD SCIENTIST. Team LenMar is headed to South Georgia this weekend looking for a win at the ADRL Georgia Drags.
